Deviance

It’s been a wild few months for me! I started getting a little stir crazy and started volunteering a couple days a week at a horse rescue near me. It’s been really good to get outside semi-regularly and also work with really big animals. It’s very different from anything I’ve done before and I think it’s great to try new things. But what if you deviate too far from what’s expected with no reason?

The Pirate in the Stables

This idea came to me while I was looking for some volunteer opportunities to fill some time. There was a retired horse rescue that got me wondering about what characters I’d put there. The thought of a pirate crossed my mind, so I started playing with this one. It seemed like a fun idea, so he might come back in another story one day.

Unity

I’ve always been a huge fan of space and space travel. Star Trek is a favorite of mine and I’ve always been curious about how a planet would react to a unified world government, especially the moment it was apparent that we were heading towards one. So here’s a short story about going from the final two world powers to accepting the unity of all nations. Where better to start cooperating than in space?

To War Each Day

Today’s story is about a young couple trying to live with particularly troublesome wood sprites. I always love the mix of fantasy and reality that urban fantasy offers. Most of the time, it seems to focus on the ‘Sexy Vampires’ or ‘Drug Dealing Warlock’ aspects of urban fantasy, but I feel like there are more options in even the little aspects of living with the fantastical.

Tea for Two

I’ve been drinking a lot of tea, recently, so here’s a story about ghosts and tea. It’s that kind of week!

A little bit of a shorter story this week, but if you’re jonesing for more, I’d recommend “Found Mysteries” as a great read!

Update for those of you who are asking, physical copies will be available soon! My proof coffee was shipped from the distributor, so I will enable distribution once I make sure there’s nothing terrible (like upside down pages, wrong size, wrong order or anything like that). While I’m hoping for a smooth release, I’m going with the Dungeon Master’s Code: “Prepare for Everything, Expect Nothing.”

Stay Safe, Stay Well!

Found Mysteries is Live!

Good Morning to All! Today “Found Mysteries: The Rebirth of Violet Franklin and Other Tales” is now available!

As of right now, you can only purchase it as an e-book. I was hoping to enable the distribution of physical copies, but I still haven’t seen a copy myself and I wouldn’t feel comfortable enabling that without seeing it. I want to make sure everyone is getting the product I’m intending to sell, so I will enable that as soon as it’s possible and let you all know when that happens. For right now, it is available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Apple Books, and anywhere fine eBooks are sold!

If you’re waiting for a physical copy to purchase, please bear with me while I’m working on that. Once it’s available, I encourage you to contact your local bookstore and see if they can acquire it for you (support those small businesses, everyone)!
UPDATE: Now, there are physical copies available through Amazon and Barnes and Noble! Use the links above and there are physical options there, too!

Found Mysteries

Hello Everyone!

I’m making an announcement here that Found Mysteries: The Rebirth of Violet Franklin and Other Tales will be available for purchase in 1 Week!

I still can’t get enough of this amazing cover design by Emily Congdon!

I’m still working out a few last-minute details (Covid-19 really gummed up the process and that’s completely understandable), but I’m thinking everything should be on schedule! Keep an eye out for more information as we approach the release and the time after when we’ll be having a giveaway!
