First fiction post of the new year! Are you excited? I’m excited.

The Last Spring
I decided to try writing from a prompt this month and I absolutely love the result. I’m thinking about making this into a bigger piece at some point, but I’ll keep it short for now. Enjoy!
Coffee with Galene
I took a “Celtic Art, Myth and Culture” class the last couple of Saturdays. I always like to incorporate different kinds of mythology into my writing. For a long time in Middle and High School, I was writing a lot about Greek and Roman mythology. I enjoy learning about mythologies and folklore, so taking the course in Celtic myths was a great refresher (and a bit of a mental palette cleanser). So, please enjoy this newest story:
The King’s Serpent
I’ve always kind of a love-hate relationship with snakes. I like them plenty and think they can be quite beautiful to look at. However, if you try to hand me one, I’ll probably shy away. As far as reptiles go, I think that they’re very expressive and super interesting to look at. Regardless of how you feel about them, enjoy this new short fiction! (Just know that this story does contain snakes)
Skeleton Key
When I write sometimes, I’ll have a wild question that I ask friends or experts. Then I realize I should preface that it’s for a story or my writing. Today’s story, Skeleton Key, is a story that had one such question. Enjoy!
The Gentlemen Thief’s Guild
I always had an idea of a group of polite thieves, always asking permission before robbing someone. From there, the idea of the Gentlemen Theif’s Guild was formed. It bumped around in my head and I finally decided to put something down on paper recently! I might explore more of these characters later but wanted to really get a sense of the Gentlemen Thieves first.
Henchmen Wanted
I’ve always had this idea in my head: How do super villains find their henchmen?
While reading some Terry Pratchett (The Light Fantastic, for those familiar with Discworld), I decided to try writing something with a little more of a satire/humor angle. So, for your enjoyment:
